The Home for Black Northern Virginia.
BASONOVA—Brothers and Sisters of Northern Virginia—is a place to discover and connect with the businesses, people, events, resources, culture and opportunities that make up Black Northern Virginia.
BASONOVA helps connect the dots.
We bring businesses, events, community stories, organizations and local connections together so you can discover more of what's happening in the community around you.
Connection should be easier to find.
Throughout our history, Black communities have found ways to support one another, share information, build businesses, create institutions and open doors for the people coming behind us. Community has helped us not only survive difficult times, but build, create and thrive.
Today, that connection still matters. In a changing America, knowing where to find one another, where to spend our dollars, what's happening around us and who is doing meaningful work in our communities can make a difference.
BASONOVA exists to make those connections easier to find, share and strengthen here in Northern Virginia.
This is your community. BASONOVA helps you connect with more of it.
Connect, celebrate and strengthen.
BASONOVA connects, celebrates, and strengthens Black communities across Northern Virginia by creating a place to discover our businesses, people, events, resources, culture, and opportunities—and helping us build stronger connections with one another.
